How to write articles

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills back.
With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also getting popular.

There are already many tools that people can use to make the process of distributing their articles more easily. Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure, which is only half of the story.
Let us take a look first at the common mistakes that some people make before submitting their contents to article directories:

1. Publishing content that does not help your readers.
Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.
Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.
You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight.
Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf.
In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents.
It will be your choice. You may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of people.
Learn the difference between these two and it will surely help you know what kinds of articles to write and to submit.

2. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason to write them.
In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.
But there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to inform your audience. If the article is not focused on this primary and most important purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits because no one will be interested in reading them.
You need to figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article, then make them click on your resource box. You can achieve this by producing better contents.

3. Failing to maximize the promotional opportunities of article marketing.
You may know already that your articles can help you generate additional links back to your site. But do you know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same articles?
Mention keywords at strategic places. Just be sure not to overdo them. Some are even using anchor texts which is also an effective method. But it is important to know that majority of the directories are not able to support this.
Remember that is not only about the links back to your site. Part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up by publishers with a large number of audiences and gaining the ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your work. Better search engine results also are great benefits.
But these things do not put much money in your pocket. There are other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an opportunity that can boost your earnings. Not just increase the number of visitors to your site.
Start out with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function that you intended it to have.

4 Things ALL Articles Must Have - Don't Forget!

The importance of articles in today’s websites and internet based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot in the success and the drive of traffic into one’s site.   It has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit. A website operator and owner must have the good sense to include articles in his or her site that will work for them and earn them the many benefits articles can give to their site.

Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more.  They would also be able to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

•    Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able t have articles about cars and their parts.  There are many tools in the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write about.

•    Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to “feel” its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

•    Good Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your products.

•    Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.

Using articles to make money

Looking through the universe of online affiliate marketing, you’ll notice that most sites fall into two categories. There are sites that simply have a list of links to other sites that sell products. You’ll notice that these sties come up often in web searches on Google or Yahoo, but they don’t seem very useful since all they have is other links and no actual content of their own.

The other kind of affiliate site is the kind that you want. It is a site that has all the same links that the others do, but it also has content. Now, what does “content” mean, anyway? Content is simply an internet term that means articles or information on a web page. Why do affiliate sites that use content work better than those that don’t? It’s simple.

If you click on a site, say, a site about growing roses, which would you rather find? A list of links that you have no idea if they are any good or not or if they even link to a reputable company? Or an informative, well-written article about growing roses that has a link at the bottom for a company that, while you still don’t know if they are trustworthy or not, the person who wrote this content thinks so and they sure sound like they know what they are talking about. Which one do you think does better sales every month? Exactly. The site that uses articles.

This is the number one reason why you should be knowledgeable about the products you wish to sell. It will be a million times easier to write content that sounds like it was written by an expert if you know your way around your product. If a web surfer stumbles upon your site, finds your articles well-written, informative and fun and then sees a link to buy a product related to the article, your chances of making money off of that customer go up 100 times. The big secret to affiliate marketing isn’t a magic formula or miracle catchphrase. It’s well-written content.

There are even companies out there that will write content for you, for a small fee. It may seem like a silly thing to invest in on the surface, but once you see the hard numbers that show how much better affiliate sites do with content then without, you’ll be on board in no time flat.

Maximizing Affiliate Sales

Any marketer knows very well that there are dozens of ways to advertise a product, any product. It’s not a big deal to come up with an idea that has a good chance of catching the eye of some surfer and get him to click on your affiliate links.

The real problem is to come up with something that makes surfers click through and actually buy something, because this is what puts money in your pocket. Nevertheless, affiliates are not in control of the conversion process, since this is the job of the merchant website, and the only thing you should focus on is to find the top selling products and the best places to advertise them.

Like chat rooms. Go on the popular chat programs and join the conversation if the topic borders on the things you are trying to sell or start a conversation yourself. Just be polite, be on topic and push your products in an honest and non-offending way. Don’t rush in yelling: “LOOK Y’ALL WHAT I’VE GOT HERE!” This will only get you banned.

If you think the company ads aren’t creative enough, or if you have specific information about your target customers, then feel free to adapt existing ads or write new ones from scratch. Nobody’s forcing you to go with an ad that could be improved.

Or write an e-book about the problem that the product you’re selling is designed to solve and present the said product as a very good solution. Put the e-book on your website and invite everybody to download it free of charge. People like freebies and will certainly welcome the chance to become informed without paying anything. Submit it to free e-book directories in order to reach more people.

People need to know that a product is actually working before they decide to buy it. If you’ve tried the program yourself, then write about your experience and a personal endorsement. Let everybody know what kind of benefits they can expect from using the product.

Maximize your chances by subscribing to more than one affiliate program and list all the links on your website on a directory page. Advertise your directory far and wide and then you may have affiliate networks trying to get your attention in order to be listed with the existing ones. Submissions are good, so accept every request.

Create your own signature file. Use a spiffy headline that’s bound to grab attention, talk about the product you’re promoting and keep everything simple and to the point. If the text is longer than five lines, nobody’s going to bother to read it, so take care.

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to advertise products on the Internet, because the Internet is nothing else but communication. Therefore feel free to mix and combine promotion techniques to suit your product and your view of how marketing should be done.

The ultimate online income.(Part 6)

Now you have read the book how about watching the video ?

While on the net I came across this website.

I have been writing about building and monetizing a website to earn money online and this guy comes along and puts it on a series of videos for you.
Absolutely totally free of charge.

Because these videos are free to access online and guide you step by step through the process I was explaining there is no point me carrying on.
Go ahead and take a look at the videos.

The ultimate online income.(Part 5)

Getting your website noticed

Now your website is up and running you need to get noticed, especially by the search engines.
First thing you need to do is submit your website to the search engines. There is plenty of software out there to help you but you can do it yourself.
Use the search term "add my site to" then the search engine you want to submit to.
Make sure you submit to google, yahoo and bing(MSN), and any other search engine you can think of.

Next you need to create some backlinks to your site.
Use the articles you have already written and submit them to article directories.
There are plenty more article directories, just do a search.

Join the Free Traffic System, I am not going into details as you can watch the videos on their homepage to see exactly how the system can work for you. It puts out about 90 backlinks for every article you submit.

Now you need to comment on peoples blogs, do a search for your keyword and use +blogspot or +wordpress you will find a lot of posts you can leave comments on.
When posting your comment you should be able to add your website which will create a link from your name on the comment section.
Make sure you post valid content on your comments or the blog owner may just delete your comment.
Post about 10 comments a day and you will soon build a massive amount of backlinks.

If you log on to Glocksoft and download  fast directory submitter for free you can get your website submitted to about 150 online directories for free.
You can easily search the search engines for more directories to submit your website to.

The more backlinks you have the better your search engine ranking.
If you have researched your keywords correctly then creating these backlinks will start taking you to the top of the search engines pretty quickly.

Most affiliate marketers fall into the trap of so called free traffic or buying traffic packages. They are extremely low quality and you are unlikely to make any sales at all from these methods.
I do use some surfer sites when I first build a website. Having a steady supply of traffic seems to help with google PR rating and Alexa traffic ranking. I only use them until my free traffic from the search engines kicks in and I look for about 200 visitors a day, I don't know why it works but it seems to work quite well.
hitsboosterpro
24sevenhits.com
trafficswarm.com
easyhits4u.com

These 4 traffic site should easily get you 200 visitors a day with very little effort.
Please do not get drawn into getting thousands of visitors to your websites and joining loads of websites offering free traffic. Traffic for your website should be based on quality not quantity.

Keep posting articles to the article directories and commenting on blogs and you should see your site in the search engines pretty soon.

Before I end this post I just wanted to say do not be impatient. You will discover that it can take weeks for your website to be noticed or get listed on websites. This is the worst time because most people automatically start to submit their website again and again, this is bad news as the search engines will end up ignoring you.
Submit a different page to the search engines once per week, they may take time but as your backlinks begin to grow so will the speed in which your website is indexed.
The website will crawl one of the websites your link is on and the more it does this the faster your site becomes indexed.

The ultimate online income.(Part 4)

Building your Website

Now you have all your content and built up a web presnce it's time to get thet website built.
There are 2 ways to get your website built, the first is building a traditional website. The second is far simpler, wordpress is like an online blog just create posts. Which one you use is up to you.

Using the conventional website will take a little time. First you need to find a theme, if you know how to build web pages this will be easy, if your new to website building then you just need to do a web search for "free website templates" there is thousands of sites offering them.
Once you have a theme suitable for your product then you need to build your pages. My Free Website Buider is a free download which is simple to use. They have a user manual to help you along as well.
A more advanced manual is available at More Niche , this is a free to join affiliate program site specialising in mainly weight loss products and mens enlargement products.
They have some fantastic resources and guides to help you build and market your website, even if you don't want to promote their products they are worth joining just for their guides.

You should build every page individually and ensure they are all linked. I am not going to go into how to do this as the guides are available and I would just be repeating them.
Once you have created each page you must ensure that you put meta tags into your website, these are explained in the manuals so ensure you read them properly.
Now your website is built you can add your adverting. This usually means editing the HTML code, it is not as scary as it sounds.
First choose where you want the ads inserted, place a string of letters in the area then click on the source tab you should be able to see the string of letters you typed. Highlight this text and paste the HTML code you copied from your advertiser where the text was.
Check and double check all your links ensuring they all work and lead to the intended page.

A simpler alternative is wordpress, most hosting providers offer the wordpress platform.
The only problem is that you must get your domain and hosting before you begin building your wordpress site. If you followed the earlier steps you should have enough info to get your site set up pretty quickly.
First do a search for a wordpress template, post your main content and make it sticky. Doing this will ensure that this post is seen whenever someone visits your site.
Take a tour of your back office and familiarise yourself with it, it's pretty easy to get the hang of. Add your advertising in the sidebar which is a similar process to blogger.
Add as many posts as you want each will appear as a list in the sidebar. You can also choose how many posts are listed per page.
Another feature of wordpress is you can create multiple categories, this is useful if you want to expand your advertising to related content.
If you were to do book reviews then you could categorise them into horror books, fiction, non fiction etc.

Now you need a domain name and hosting. I use the baby croc package from Hostgator . Theis package can host unlimited domains with unlimited bandwidth. It is $10 a month without a tie in you can cancel at any time without penalty. Most companies tie you in for a year's minimum contract.
Domain names with the .com are quite difficult to find so it may take a while to find something suitable.
Take a bit of time searching for something suitable, don't just settle for something easy. You want your domain name to reflect you websites theme.

Thats it your website is online, unfortunately no one can see it yet except you and anyone you have given your website address to. My next post will show you how to build your traffic.

The ultimate online income.(Part 3)

Creating your online presence

Now your becoming an expert in your chosen field you need to create your online presence.
This is just a matter of using social networking and web 2.0.

There are literally thousands of sites out there to help you do this.
First create a blog (just like this one) you can create your blog as a information guide around the product you are going to promote or you can just create a blog and post a range of posts.
I prefer generally to create a random blog about anything, then if you create a second or third website you can create links to it through your blog.
Blog daily about anything you want, useful websites or funny posts usually work quite well but its up to you.

Once you create your blog get it listed at My Blog Log
I also use Feedage.com where you can also submit your blogs RSS Feed, Technorati.com  is another good site to submit your blog to. Stumbleupon.com is a good site.
All these will create an online presence for you.

Another thing to do is join Twitter.com then join GFFaster  this will help you build a good list of followers, as you grow your follower list you can use it as an advertising platform for your website.
Facebook.com , Yuwie.com  and Tumblr.com are a few other sites you can use.

There are thousands out there but don't get bogged down with too many, you can always join more later.

Post to your blog regularly and each time you create a new post use PingOMatic.com to let everyone know you just created a new post.

Creating your network will help build your authority on the net. It is better to get used to it now so your ready when your website goes live.

The ultimate online income.(Part 2)

 Content Is King

You should have a viable product by now. Something tangible to build your website around.
Before you continue any further ask yourself this question "How much do I know about this product ?"

Your website needs plenty of information to entice visitors to read and hopefully click through and buy your affiliate product. You will also need to submit articles to directories as well as coming up with some good text ads to distribute to directories. You will need to ensure you have plenty of variations of both articles and text ads as this gives your site more visibility on the net.

The reason for this is if the search engines see the same text over and over all linking back to your website then it will look like your a spammer and you have a chance that they will not bother crawling your site.
To get your site to the top of the search engines you need quality content on your website as well as quality backlinks from other sites.

The first step is designing the text for your website, this should be designed to create a good experience for the visitor and to make you look an expert in the product your trying to sell.
You also need to look at how many pages there are going to be and what is going to be on each page.
The easiest way to do this is to do a simple search and look around at websites similar to what you want to achieve. Look at the layout, design and navigation as well as just the text and pictures.
Do not copy from other peoples websites, search engines will easily spot this and not bother crawling your site.
Use the information you gather to design your website ensuring it is unique content. Do this on paper at the moment to ensure your happy with the design and text.
Ensure the keywords you identified are in your text numerous times, just don't overdo it. Make it look natural.

Next you need about 20-30 articles each should be about 450+ words long. This may sound a bit daunting but it will really help you build your authority on the product your trying to sell. The more authority you have the more sales your likely to make.
To help build your articles there are a few things you can do. First visit article directories and search for articles about your product. Don't copy them but use them as guides to write your articles.
There are also millions of blogs out there that you can search to help you gather information, just type your keyword into a search engine and use +blogspot.
If you were doing book reviews then your search would look like this "book review+blogspot.

It may seem like a lot of work but it will help take your website to the top of the search engines where you will create an endless stream of traffic and sales.
The more you put in the more you will get out.

Now you need to create some text ads. These are pretty simple to do, just think about the keywords your using and put them into a sentence relating to your website.
If you were doing book reviews a few lines you could use are :

Best online book review website.
For the best reading experience take a look at our book reviews.

Totally different descriptions but both have "book reviews" in the text.
Again this may seem like a bit of a pain but it will help build your presence online and give the search engines what they need to keep your site ranked highly.

This might seem a lot of work when you have not even got a website online yet. The french call it "mis en place" we call it "preperation in advance".
By preparing everything in advance we can get our website online and begin building our backlinks and search engine ranking immediately. The other reason to do all this now is as your building your articles, text links and website content you are also learning. This is vital in building your authority about a product or service, the more authority you have the more sales your likely to make.

The ultimate online income.(Part 1)

Choosing your Product

The first and most important part of starting any business is what are you going to sell ?
You may think it is a simple task, your just going to build a website based on a product you are already promoting or one you are thinking of promoting.

Stop Just wait a minute and think.
Does your proposed product have a lot of competition for the keywords your going to use ?
Try searching for them and see how many results are returned.
Do you realise if you follow a high competition product you have virtually no chance of getting ranked highly in the search engines. Without a high search engine rank you will find it hard to make any money at all.

Now your thinking straight you need to start researching products that have a reasonably high search rate with a relatively low competition.
Stay away from MLM, Matrix programs and E-Books. These products will be hard to sell and are not sustainable.

To find sustainable products you will need to do a little searching.
One idea would be to join Amazon as an associate and promote their products, you could do a book review website if you enjoy reading or a music review site. ( Just some ideas, make sure you research your products against competition) Amazon pays around 5% to affiliates for sales made.
CJ.com is a company who is a third party for hundreds of companies. You can search through their directory for products to promote.

Another way to find a product is just do a search for a product and then look at the companies websites. You should see a link for affiliate or associate, just click on it and see how much they are paying.

Before you jump in and start deciding what product your going to promote you need to research it.
You should log on to Google Keyword Tool
Type in the keywords you were thinking of using. As well as giving you alternative keywords you can use it will also show you Advertiser Competition and search volume, both for local and global searches.

This tool will help you decide on products to promote. You are looking for a reasonably low advertiser competition and a good global search volume.
When looking at the keywords listed remember you can use more than one of these as your website keywords. So if you find a good set of keywords with low competition but an overall high amount of traffic your website should do well.

The keywords you choose should be able to fit into the text on your website numerous times but look natural at the same time. Think about this when choosing keywords.

Spend a couple of days identifying products or services to build your website around using these techniques.
Better to pick the right product now rather than wasting time on a product that does not gain search engine ranking and make sales.

The ultimate online income.(Introduction)

This is not a blog trying to sell you something.
Over the next few weeks I will produce a series of blogs explaining exactly how to build your online income.
These are totally free, nothing to buy at all. The only thing you ever need to pay for is Domain Name and hosting.

If you have experienced affiliate marketing before you have probably failed to make any money. 95% of affiliate marketers never make an online income.
The fact is you are being conned into believing you can earn an income, usually that costs you anywhere between $20 and $200 to realise that.
I give you no promises and offer nothing but experience. By following simple techniques you build a business step by step.

This is not a get rich scheme and if your looking to become a millionair overnight then look somewhere else. I will show you how to build a business to earn an income not to make you a millionaire.

Most newcomers into affiliate marketing are looking for the golden nugget, none have succeeded. You buy an E-book for $67 which promises to give you the golden grail, what they are actually doing is tricking you into joining loads of affiliate sites under them.
They are good writers and make you believe joining all these sites is the way to go. The sites will be either a paid for site so you not only pay for their book your also paying them for each program you join.
The other sites will be free to join but you will join under the E-books writer and any sales you make (if any) they make about 5%-10%.
Whichever way you look at it the E-Book is a tool to get you to earn residual income for them.

This blog is different, WHY  ?
Each step is totally explained and you can see the results appearing, I do add some referral links but only to programs I feel will help you. Any links I do publish on this blog will be totally optional and most will be totally free. Paid programs will only be used where I feel it is totally necessary, there are very few of these as I prefer to use the free programs available.

Ok enough rambling just follow this blog and you will learn all the secrets you need to build an online income without splashing out.
Due to the voluntary work I do this blog will be updated 3-4 times a week.
This should be plenty as the guides will take time to complete.
Building your business should take a minimum of one month, creating a suitable income can take probably 6-12 month depending on the amount of time you can spend on your project.

These estimates are based on a person working a full time job and spending 1-2 hours a day, 4+ hours at the weekend devoted to building your income.

If your interested join me on my next blog where your firt lesson will begin.

Why people fail in affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing looks easy to do, but in reality it is a little trickier than people realize. One of the main reasons for failure to make profits in Affiliate marketing is lack of dedication and work. Affiliate marketing is like any other business. It takes hard work and dedication to make a successful business.

One of the most common reasons for failure is lack of knowledge about promoting. Affiliate marketing depends on getting a lot of targeted traffic to your website. Only then can you hope to achieve a substantial click through and sales conversion. Many new affiliates are not aware of the amount of work they will have to put in to drive this traffic to their websites.

The other mistake is not to have your own website. This prevents you from doing your own website promotions and does not allow you to capture the email addresses of your visitors. When you do this you will only be building your sponsor’s business and not your own. You will also be decreasing your sales conversions.

Not knowing how to advertise and where you should be doing your direct marketing is also another mistake. Advertising must be towards your targeted market and not in unrelated publications and websites.

Selling, not pre selling: Too many affiliates try to sell their sponsor’s products instead of getting the click through. If you try to sell to your visitors and then send them through to your sponsor’s sales page they are in effect being double sold and will not be very inclined to buy.

If you pre sell to your visitors and warm them for the sale they will be ready for your sponsor’s sales page and be inclined to buy. This will increase sales conversions and your commission.

Whats your website worth.

I recently came across a website with a little button on it saying "my website is worth $xxx, whats yours worth ?"
Of course we all want to know what our website is worth. I clicked the link and put in my details and voila my websites value in $$$.
I decided to check out other website valuation sites and was surprised by the differences in what they said my sites were worth.
Below are the overviews of 2 not so fantastic sites I ran through 3 different website valuation sites.

The first is http://www.art-decoantiques.com
I bought this website about a month ago but have done little to it at the moment. I registered it as a niche site with little competition, it has a .com domain name which gives it a boost.
So far I have installed wordpress on it with a couple of posts, I plugged it into Free Traffic System hoping other posts would appear from there, 2 posts appeared.  I have also added links of related products from Amazon.
I have done a little backlinking to the website and at the moment have around 250 backlinks although the website has been listed with numerous directories which should show up in a month or two.
The site is listed in major search engines for related keywords, Yahoo and MSN favour it and list it highly although Google has been slow on the uptake.
So a pretty basic website with a reasonable search engine ranking and reasonable amount of backlinks. So what is it worth ?
http://www.websitevaluecalculator.com/  Values it at $78, rather low was hoping for more.

http://www.yourwebsitevalue.com/          Values it at $541, a lot better.

http://www.websiteoutlook.com/             Value has gone up to $963.60, getting better

http://bizinformation.org/                          Value is now $32,000 , Sold to the nearest bidder.

Site 2 is  http://www.affiliategenius.ws
This site is a few months old, I joined http://www.website.ws
I joined them due to the earning potential of their affiliate program, the site didn't have much on it for a while until I joined High Profits  , these supplied a ready made website which I just plugged in. I added a few pages and a couple of banner ads then uploaded it.
Just like my other site it has numerous backlinks and directory listings. Search engine ranking has been harder due to the high competition for affiliate marketing keywords.
So for a plug and play website how much can I earn ?
In the same order as above...............................
Value is $78, rather consistent.

Value now is now $13,400 , anyone want it ? I'll accept $10,000 for cash.

All website valuation sites are not the same.
Be careful if you come across one of these sites thats saying your website is worth thousands.
Your website is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Breaking the rules.

I am always breaking my own rules when it comes to website enhancement and promotion.
I set up 2 websites and 2 blogs (this is one of them), I know my job was to spend a maximum of 1 hour per day finding at least 10 backlinks for each of the sites. These backlinks should be a mix of forum posts, blog comments, directory submissions and link swapping. Another 1 hour a day producing posts for my blogs and building pages on my websites. I like to try to post at least once a day on my blog and have at least 1 page a week added to my websites.

I know time management is the key to effective website promotion so why do I always get sucked in to reading and following links in posts or websites. Totally breaking my own rules.

These disturbances have meant my website promotions have suffered dramatically.
From now on I am going to bookmark any site I find interesting is automatically bookmarked and looked at only after I have finished my work for the day.

This is a lesson to affiliate marketers and website promoters old and new, The number 1 rule of of successful website promotion is time management. Don't get caught out like I did stick to your tactics and ensure your primary business is promoted effectively.

Affiliates – Tips to Jumpstart Your Conversions and Profits

"When it comes to boosting your CTR, conversion rates and revenue, nothing works better than a little inspiration! I read 3 good articles this week I wanted to share with you that each address different ways of increasing sales. I hope you get some gold nuggets you can use to jumpstart your profits."

Time management is the key.

If you are an affiliate marketer or thinking of becoming an affiliate marketer then the one thing you will need to learn is time management.
Every minute of your time is worth money so make every minute count.

To ensure effective time management there is a few things you can do.

First decide what you want and how much time you can input.
If you already work and have a family then you probably can offer 1-2 hours a day and a few more at weekends. If you know about building a website it will take you less time than if you know nothing about it.
Just be realistic, don't think your going to be handed your goal on a silver platter it could be 3-4 months before the fruits of your labour are noticed.

Don't set your goals too high, if you want to believe you can earn a million dollars in the next month then after you wake up and get back to reality consider earning nothing in the next month. YES absolutely nothing in the next month. Most affiliate marketers take months building an online presence before begining to earn any money, even then it may take a couple of years building your affiliate business before earning a monthly income to live off.
Think about it like this if you jump from one thing to another you will not earn money online.
If you nurture your business then within 2 years you can retire on the income your earning, now your retired you have more time to spend on that business and can build it faster meaning your not only earning enough to live on but building a lifestyle.

Don't be distracted by the next big thing.
When I started out in affiliate marketing this was my biggest mistake. If you see something that catches your eye add it to your favourites and look at it later, your goal is your only concern at this point. Fixate yourself on the goal you have set and work towards that.

Don't give up, what's the point in spending 3-4 months on a project then just giving up. If things are not working re-evaluate what you have done and what you can do.

These simple steps should help you build an income based on reality, not using MLM, Matrix or any other so called get rich quick schemes.

Build yourself a solid income using basic time management.

The Real Reasons You’re Not a Super Affiliate Yet…

I hear a lot of affiliates who have been in this business for sometime tell me all reasons, I mean the bs excuses, why they’re not a super affiliate yet:

  1. I don’t have a PhD like you Amit!

  2. I don’t have the money.

  3. I just don’t have any time to work on my business.

  4. I have kids!

  5. You got in early, it’s too saturated now.

  6. I don’t know the right people like you do.

  7. Blah, blah, blah!

Yon can come up with a million reasons why you’re not a super affiliate yet, even though you been “doing” affiliate marketing for the last 3 years with little to show for it.

Let’s be honest, deep down you know all your excuses are complete bullshit!

Here are the REAL reasons you’re not a super affiliate yet

  1. You keep focusing on all reason why you can’t do this business. Make your bs excuses the reason WHY you need to succeed at this business. If you don’t have time or money, make that the reason why you NEED to become a super affiliate, and NOT the reason you can’t become one.

  2. You’re thinking TOO small. You get an affiliate offer to $50/day profit and move on to something else, when the top affiliates may be making $1500/day profit with the same offer. STOP being happy with table scrapes and start working towards building your affiliate campaigns to 4-figure a day in sales. Your affiliate income will NEVER outgrow the level of your thinking. Kick it up a notch!

  3. You’re scared shit of losing money. Get over it. Your investing in your future, NOT “losing money.” How much money did you “lose” going to college? How’s the ROI on that investment working for you?

  4. You’re lazy. I had to work my ass off in the beginning to build my momentum and get my business off the ground. If you’re only testing one affiliate offer a month, you’re dead in the water, there’s no way you’re going to build momentum. I’ll talk more about this in the next post…

  5. You’re not consistent. If you do this business for 4 months and then take a month or 2 off and then try to get back into it again, you’re again killing your momentum.

  6. You don’t want it bad enough. Honestly this is the BIGGEST reason you’re not a super affiliate yet. You need to have a burning desire to succeed to become a super affiliate. You need to have a CRYSTAL CLEAR vision of what you want. Your attitude has to be like Micheal Phelps : eat, sleep, & launch affiliate campaigns. If you’re NOT having trouble sleeping at night because you’re so excited, then you don’t want it bad enough.

So if you’re sick and tired of just poking a stick at affiliate marketing then SUCK IT UP and take an honest look at why you’re not a super affiliate yet.

Earn money using search engines

Search engine traffic will bring you some of your most valuable visitors. They have found your website when they were searching for a product or information. This makes them warm, ready to buy visitors who are very likely to not only click through to your sponsor’s sales page but actually buy the product. There are 3 major search engines; number one Google, second Yahoo and third MSN.

So how do you get your website listed, or indexed, with these search engines? The answer is “keywords.” These are words found in your website that will attract your targeted market to your website when they are found in the search engines. Keyword research is very important. You will need to find keywords that are high in demand, many searches, and low in supply, less websites.

You can do this by going to http://goodkeywords.com and finding the keywords for your site. Then you can go to a program like http://wordtracker.com and find more specialized keywords.

Check out your competition: The 1st ten websites listed in the search engine, will be your competition and you should check out the links they have going to their site. If possible try to get these to your site also. This will help you to get a better position in the search engines. The most important way of linking is back links. You can get these by article distribution, to all the article directories. This will especially increase your page rank with Google and get you a higher position in their engine.

Google will give special preference to your content and resources for your visitors. Make sure you optimize your content at about 3% for Google and up to 5% for MSN and Yahoo. Also use anchor links to link your pages and for external links, these will utilize your main keywords and the search engine bots will easily follow them to get around your site and view every page for indexing.

Keep your site ever fresh by adding new content every week. This will allow the search engines and especially Google to index new pages and increase your Page Rank. These are just a few points to help you to keep a good position in the search engines.

Your $10 a month automated business.

If you want an automated online income which will take less than half an hour to set up, has low maintenance time and only costs $10 a month then please read on.
Your $10 a month is for hosting and domain name you are not paying for an MLM or matrix.
This is a rather long post but if you want your own fully built website advertising high paying affiliate income then bear with it. It will explain how to get the website online as well as how to get alternate streams of income and get ranked in google as well as other search engines.

First set up hosting here :
www.website.ws
The reason I use this company is as well as been a cheap effective hosting company they also offer an affiliate pay plan, this is a 5 level pay plan so you get paid $1 for every person you refer and $1 for every referral 5 levels deep. This can turn into a nice income on it's own but we are going to set up another 2 income streams with this account. Make sure when you choose your website name choose someting short and appropriate like onlineincome.ws

Once hosting is set up join :
www.highprofits.com
This company is a third party advertiser for numerous affiliate programs.
Familiarize yourself with the layouts and check out the complete website templates, once you find one you like download it to your computer and unzip it(just right click on it and go to extract all)

Before uploading to your host you need to optimize your website.
Download My Free Website Builder totally free.
Once downloaded open it, go to open a new page and look for the file your website pages are in. Look for the file named "index" and click to open that page.
In the drop down menu at the top click on "format" then go down and click on "page title and properties"
In the box that opens fill in the fields saying title and description.
Read the page and give a title and description based on the individual page, give each page a different title and description.
Once done click ok and then at the bottom of the page you will see four tabs click on the one saying "source"
The test here may look confusing but is pretty simple once you get used to it, if you look you will see your title and description appearing in between some strange text and below this you will see something like this

  meta name="keywords"
 content=" " /
In between the speech marks after the word content type in some words that apear in the text of the page you are using. Words like "affiliate, marketing, makemoney online" you decide how many you want to put in.
Open each page in turn and follow the same rules. None of this appears on your web page this is all HTML which is what search engines will use when they crawl your pages. Known as SEO or search engine optimization.

Next you need an ftp, this is just a program which transfers the files from your pc to your host.
Download and install Filezilla
This is a free program, once installed open it up. You will need the email that website.ws sent you.
At the top of the screen you will need to enter
ftp host = ftp.hosting.ws
username= your username
password= your password
port= 21

Once logged on you should see your website name on the right of the screen and your computer documents on the left. On the left of the screen find the folder your web page files are in once open just drag and drop all the web pages and the images file into your website on the right of the screen. Thats it your website is online, It may take 24-48 hours to appear so just keep checking.

Once online it's time to get visitors and advertising on our site.
Personally I hate surfer sites and free traffic sources, just a waste of time but when I first set up a site I use them for between around seven to 30 days. This is just to keep a steady flow of traffic appearing on a regular basis, 200 hits a day on average is plenty. here are four simple sites I use.
hitsboosterpro
24sevenhits.com
trafficswarm.com
easyhits4u.com
These four programs should easily get you a steady stram of visitors without spending a lot of time surfing them.
Now Its time to get listed in search engines where you will get free traffic.
First go to each search engine you know of especially google, bing(formerly msn) and yahoo as well as any others you find. In in engine type "add url to" and the name of the search engine, click on the relevant link and add your web address in the form provided. Soon your site will be listed and crawled by the search engine spiders. Next we need backlinks, these are links from other sites linking back to yours.
Freetrafficsystem.com is an automatic backlink creator, watch the videos on how to use the system and use this system to it's fullest as it will create hundreds of free backlinks.

Another great way to create backlinks is to look at blogs of people and when you see a good blog create a comment on it ensuring your website goes into the correct box. Don't just spam hundreds of blogs as the owners will delete your comments, when commenting make sure it's sensible and contributes to the actual blog post. Half an hour a day should be all it takes to build your backlinks and traffic.
These backlinks are mega important as they will increase your ranking in the search engines, the better your ranking the more likely searchers will find you.

Now you need to add advertising, I personally use Widgetbucks.com
These display numerous ads on a CPM and CPC basis.
Open websitebuilder and then open your index page as you did earlier, decide where your ads are going and copy the code you got from Widgetbucks.com.
To add it to your page type something memorable where you want it to go, click on the source tab then look for the word you just typed in (you do get used to doing this and what the source tab is)Highlight the word you typed in, and copy the code over it. Click save at the top of the screen.

Next open Filezilla again, log in and the only webpage you now need to drag and drop across is the index page you just added the HTML code to.

Keep up the backlinking techniques and good luck with your new website.
Please comment on this post especially if theres something you don't understand and I will be happy to help.

Are You Hitting Your Affiliate Pain Threshold?

Are You Hitting Your Affiliate Pain Threshold?: "

I was talking to my personal trainer the other day and we were talking about what it really takes to be super successful as an athlete.

I mean what really separates someone like Kobe Bryant from an average NBA player? Anyone who plays for the NBA is obviously a top top athlete at that level.

My personal trainer, who competed at the national level for the 200m and 400m in track, told me about a concept that his coach taught him called the “pain threshold”.

Every athlete has a pain threshold at which point there body starts to shuts down. They become tired, fatigued, their performance drops. Top athletes are able to continually push their pain threshold higher and higher until fly past everyone else.

Breaking through your pain threshold is 100% mental.

There’s a pain threshold in ppc affiliate marketing as well.

Whether you ever become a super affiliate all depends on whether you can continually break through your pain threshold, pushing it higher and higher.

Every single person that I’ve coached and that has failed, has failed because they couldn’t handle the pain.

They quit after 1,2 or 3 failed campaigns. They hide under their bed and tucked their tail under their tail between their legs like a scared little puppy dog.

Don’t be that scared little puppy dog 6 months from now.

Yeah, you may feel confident right now, you’re excited. But can you handle getting the wind knocked out you a few times?

I went 15 campaigns with NO RESULTS.

What if I had stopped after the first 10 failed ppc campaigns and said : “This business is a scam, ppc affiliate marketing doesn’t work!”

Don’t for a minute think that becoming a super affiliate is going to be an easy ride. There’s time when a lot of doubt will creep into your mind.

There’s times when you’ll feel really frustrated, and even anger.

As long as you get back up every time you get knocked down and learn from you mistakes, you’re breaking through your pain threshold.

Can YOU handle the pain?

Future of PPC Affiliate Marketing

Future of PPC Affiliate Marketing: "

There’s a lot of people getting slapped right now by Google and they’re flat out scared. They’re wondering if they can keep making money like this, or is the heyday of PPC affiliate marketing over?

Well, I can tell you right now that PPC affiliate marketing is here to stay, however, you’ll need to change and adopt your strategy (and it’s more than just moving over to Yahoo and Bing). The savvy affiliates see what’s happening now as a HUGE opportunity to profit with a lot of the competition out of the way. (I can tell you that I’m VERY excited about it.)

Website traffic, Quantity or Quality ?

Once you have built your brand new website or blog the first thing you want is website traffic. But wait a minute, do you want passing traffic just to see your web counter rise or do you want traffic that will stop, look and buy ?

Most people tend to just see a way to get easy traffic and use it. If you are using surf sites or free safelist mailers then your just wasting your time, and money if you have upgraded or paid for credits.
Visitors to these sites are affiliate marketers just like you. Your actually trying to sell each other similar products.

The other thing about these sites is what visitors do while surfing for credits to display their own websites. Think about how you surf for credits, you either have 3 or 4 sites open all at once clicking between them. Or the other way is your actually doing something on the web and keep switching screens to surf to the next 20 second counter.
Either way your website is getting visitors but not being viewed.

Quality traffic will probably take you less time to get and will have people viewing your site because they want to. Quality visitors = sales of your affiliate programmes.
How do you get this quality traffic ? Get to the top of the search engines of course.
Easier said than done. The easiest way is to create backlinks to your site, the more backlinks you have got the better your ranking.
Easy ways to create backlinks is to write articles and blogs. Blogs allow you to write an objective review of your website with a link in it, you can also write reflective reviews on any other afiliate product or service you are a member of and insert links in.
Article writing allows you to write quality articles with your link in and display them on sites like http://www.ezinearticles.com and
http://www.article-content-king.com
These are ranked sites which not only add your article to their site but allow your ad to be duplicated on other sites, with your link inserted of course.A good article can be posted on numerous sites.

The other way is a new site called http://www.freetrafficsystem.com
This site automates the system by allowing free members to post an article to 30 blogs with a simple system. Each article is allowed up to 2 links embedded as well as a keyword giving a potential 120 backlinks.
You can add as many articles as you want so 120 backlinks can soon become thousands in no time at all.

This many backlinks give you a better chance at reaching the top of the search engines and getting that quality traffic you need.

Affiliate Marketing Industry Ripe for Quality Effort: "As the industry matures and the stakes get higher, issues of quality weigh heavily on affiliates and merchants alike. What kinds of traffic are affiliates sending to their advertisers? Are top affiliates compensated fairly? What happens when honest affiliates must compete with those who cheat the system?"

Affiliates – Tips to Jumpstart Your Conversions and Profits

When it comes to boosting your CTR, conversion rates and revenue, nothing works better than a little inspiration! I read 3 good articles this week I wanted to share with you that each address different ways of increasing sales. I hope you get some gold nuggets you can use to jumpstart your profits."

Affiliate Marketing Plan Podcast – Best Research Tools

Affiliate Marketing Plan Podcast – Best Research Tools:

I'm excited to see a new affiliate marketing blog hit the scene. The premier podcast features a discussion about a myriad of research tools for keyword research, recruiting new affiliates and conducting competitive research."

How to Find a Top Rated Affiliate Program?

If you're reading this, then it's pretty safe to assume that you are interested in marketing and very interested in making as much money as possible without working too hard. Well, that's what top rated affiliate programs are for because the only way a program can get to the top of the affiliate world is to provide the affiliates with everything they want and then some. Being proactive in meeting the needs of affiliates pay handsomely, which is why top rated affiliate programs can be counted on to offer the terms that make a marketer's heart race with excitement.
What are the features of a top rated affiliate program? For starters, such a program offers high commissions. The people behind it know that their products will sell very well and don't mind giving up a bigger share of the money in order to motivate affiliates and reward their efforts. If you're spending a couple of hours everyday pondering traffic statistics, thinking up ways to improve your website to get top search engine placement and generating a lot of sales then you deserve those high commissions. And if your conversion rate is high enough, you will be making a lot of money in a short time.
Aside from the high commissions you will need quality affiliate support from the associate program in the shape of free website templates to choose from, free content for your website (or websites) written by professional copywriters, tutorials and guides if you're only just beginning and lots of information and advice on the niche market you are going to be operating in. Plus, you get access to advanced affiliate tools for keyword research and traffic tracking. Another very important thing to look out for is the way products are sold. If the managers ask you to buy the products and resell it to customers, then you're walking into a scam.
But you probably know by now that there are no magic buttons to push that can make you a super affiliate in a couple of days. You'll have to work your way to a position of financial security and you have a lot to learn about how to be a good marketer. But joining a top rated affiliate program goes a long way to making your dreams come true as fast as humanly possible because the sad alternative is to do the same amount of work for less money. And that runs contrary to the fact that you deserve to get as much as possible for your efforts.
Low commissions and small percentages of low prices are highly NOT recommended and working for a greedy bunch of managers is an experience that should be avoided. Why waste time and effort when you can start on the right foot by joining a top rated affiliate program? If some people out there are willing to work for low commissions and others can't find anything wrong with investing their own money in a business that doesn't ever pay off, then let them do it. You have other priorities.
